Taking Photos of Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World

Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World is an amazing sight to see, especially if you’ve never seen it in person before! We always try to take a photo of the kids or all of us in front of it, but usually it’s not my favorite castle picture. The photo below is one of those such photos. It’s okay, but the sun was really bright and everyone is squinting. This is usually the spot where we also have a Disney PhotoPass photographer take our group photo as well.

The front of the Castle is usually pretty busy. We even had pre-park opening breakfast reservations in the above photo. While there aren’t a ton of people like mid-day, there were still people in the background.

One of my favorite photo locations is on the side of the castle. There is a path that runs along the left side (if you’re looking at the front of the castle). There is a pretty bench and it’s perfect in that even if there are people walking on the path, they won’t be in your photo!

Of course, including Cinderella Castle in the background of your photos around the park is another great storytelling element! I love having it in the background of photos we take around Fantasyland.

Finally, I just can’t pass up the opportunity to take a photo or two of Cinderella Castle alone. Again, the sides are my favorite because the lack of people in the photo, as well as the beautiful water that’s included!
